VERMICELLI UPMA

Ingredients:

Vermicelli-1 cup, Water-2 cup,Onion-1(chopped),Tomato-1(chopped),Ginger small piece(finely chopped), Green chilly-2 slited, Mustard seed,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves(few), Turmeric powder half tsp,Whole garam masala( cinnamon- 1 inch piece, cloves-2,bay leaf-1,Capsicum small (finely chopped),carrot(chopped finely),Salt.

Method:


  • Heat the oil and roast vermicelli till light brown and keep a side.
  • Heat a tbsp of oil add mustard seed and curry leaves,when it start splutters.
  • Add whole garam masala.                                            
  • Add onion,green chilly,ginger and saute well.
  • Add tomato,capsicum and turmeric powder and carrot saute well.
  • Add water and salt.
  • When water starts boiling.
  • Add roasted vermicelli and cook,covered in low flame,keep stirring till done.
  • Add coriander leaves,and carrot for garnishing.
